These are twenty pieces of North Central Wisconsin moss. Each piece is approximately 2 inches x 2 inches for a total of 80 square inches of freshly gathered moss. These are end pieces. Some are two inches square, but most of them are more than that or are unique in shape to equal around 2 square inches or more. After a short time with proper sunlight, shade, regular misting and some TLC these pieces will grow together to form a larger piece.
Sheet moss (phylum Bryophyta) is an excellent choice for terrariums and other similar environments such as paludariums, vivariums, and ripariums. It goes well with both fairy gardens and regular gardens and is popular in home decor, like koi ponds, floral arrangements, planters, museums, zoos, or any other creative project you may have. Moss thrives in both hot and cold climes and is better when it is partly shaded. However, it also needs some sunlight and water to flourish.
All of our moss is cultivated and gathered in its natural habitat in North central Wisconsin. Every moss and lichen is hand-picked and neatly wrapped in a sealed bag.
Moss is particularly resistant to cold conditions and transports exceedingly well. Because of its excellent transplant success rate, this sheet moss is a versatile species that may thrive among rocks, logs, and other plants.
