These are approximately 1500 jack pine cones from Wisconsin. These unique j-shape cones are considered seconds. They are weathered, oddly shaped, unusual characteristic or unopened.
Some cones are in the shape of a J, while others are wide open or possibly closed. The size of each cone is around 1+ inches high by around 1/2+ inches wide.
These 19 pounds will come in a box 12 x 12 x 12 inches in size and generally hold around 1500 cones. Please note that there could be more or perhaps less than 1500 cones as this item will be determined by weight.
Cones from grey pine are generally smaller than red pine cones and have thinner scales. They are also different than red pine cones in that they have more personality with perhaps a rounded base or stems that are curved, but still great for wreaths, crafts, floral arrangements, displays or artwork. Birds like parrots, cockatoos, and cockatiels also love to chew on jack pine.
