These are eight pounds of jack pine cones from Wisconsin. These unique cones have great personality as some are a nice brown while others have a cool maroon color to them. Cones from grey pine are generally smaller than red pine cones and have thinner scales. They are also different than red pine cones in that they have more personality with perhaps a rounded base or stems that are curved, but still great for wreaths, crafts, floral arrangements, displays or artwork. Birds like parrots, cockatoos, and cockatiels also love to chew on jack pine.
These jack pine cones are considered seconds which mean they could be larger, smaller, weathered, squished, broken, closed or have unusual features. There will be approximately 8 pounds of cones per box.
The size of the cones will vary quite a bit from less than one in in diameter to two inches in diameter and from around one inch in height to over 2 inches. There will be a variety of sizes per box.
